| St Albans Urban Beach weekend in Special Events. Verulamium Park in St Albans is one of 6 successful venues to gain a new beach volleyball facility after the Olympics.
To officially launch the courts, St Albans City and District Council will be hosting a weekend (Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2013) of free taster sessions, tournaments and coaching and would like to invite you to get involved. We are looking to work with a wide variety of clubs to deliver a programme of physical activity on and around the beach courts.
We would like the whole weekend to be about promoting physical activity and local sport as well as volleyball and the new facility. The event will take part between 12pm and 4pm on each day but if you can only attend for an hour on either day it would still be great to involve you. Everyone is welcome.
If you would like to get involved or find out more information about the event please contact Jo Howlett (Community Projects Officer) on 01727 819311 or email jo.howlett@stalbans.gov.uk | |
