Club description

Ki Aikido is a form of martial art that does not rely on strength or fitness to succeed. Special exercises and defensive movements are taught that to help students become calm and relaxed, whilst at the same time imparting a powerful system for improving life and health. The club is located in Tyttenhanger (St. Albans) and meets every Sunday, usually at 4pm for two hours (Please check the website or with the teacher for times). Everybody from 12 upwards is welcome regardless of fitness or ability. A children\'s class also runs on a Tuesday evening.

Sensei Vince Picton was awarded his 4th Dan Black Belt from the Ki Federation of Great Britain and has been teaching at St Albans Aikido Club since taking it over from his teacher in 2008.

With a well run hall and qualified instructors, the club provides a beneficial service to all students, whether from St Albans or much further afield. The club has a very friendly, welcoming feel and students are always willing to help others progress. It costs nothing to come along and give it a try.
